WASHINGTON — Representative Rodney Davis of Illinois will be the keynote speaker at the American Bakers Association’s Executive Leadership Committee (E.L.D.C.) Public Policy Forum Group Dinner on Sept. 18 in Washington.
“We are honored to have Congressman Davis join us at the E.L.D.C. Group Dinner,” said Kelly Knowles, senior political director for the A.B.A. “Congressman Davis has been a strong supporter of the baking industry and the business community since his election to the House in 2012. We are excited to hear about his priorities as a legislator and how we can work together to tackle challenges important to the industry.”
Mr. Davis will be discussing his views on leadership development as well as his path to the U.S. House of Representatives.
Mr. Davis sits on the Congressional Committees on agriculture and transportation and infrastructure. Prior to his election to the House, he was projects director for Congressman John Shimkus for 16 years, which familiarized him with the role that the federal government plays in communities. This gave him the opportunity to play an instrumental role in supporting a wide array of local projects within the community.
