PARIS — The Roquette Group and Algama have formed a partnership to develop prototypes of food products with microalgae. The companies plan to exhibit the prototypes in October at Expo Milano 2015 in Milan, Italy.
Roquette, based in Lestrem, France, supplies chlorella, a microalgae, under the brand name algility. The ingredient contains proteins, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals, according to Roquette. Paris-based Algama developed Springwave, a blue beverage with spirulina, a microalgae. Vitamin B2 is naturally present in spirulina, according to Algama.
