OMAHA — The Gavilon Group, L.L.C. has introduced a new brand identity and logo it claims will “encapsulate its dynamic growth and strength as one of the world’s leading commodity management firms.”
The company is replacing its former logo, which has been used since the company’s inception in 2008, with a shield, symbolizing the company’s strength and vitality. It is accompanied with the tagline, “Thrive On,” representing the company’s dedication to cultivating, growing and unleashing the full potential of its employees, customers and marketing partners in the commodities industry.
“Over the years, we’ve combined a number of high-performing businesses and brought together numerous talented individuals into the company,” said Greg Heckman, president and chief executive officer of Gavilon. “It is time to bring the collective power of the entire organization under the Gavilon name, aligned by our mission to become the most efficient provider of essential commodities and services in the world.”
In May, Marubeni Corp., one of Japan’s largest general trading companies, agreed to purchase Gavilon. The transaction is expected to position Marubeni as one of the largest grain handlers, traders and marketers in the world when complete.
“We are dedicated to working together with our partners, striving to outperform, seizing new opportunities, executing with speed and precision, and delivering on our commitments,” Mr. Heckman said. “I’m looking forward to our future and excited about reaching our full potential as a Marubeni company.”
