WAUKESHA, WIS. — Cybros The Sprouted Bakehouse has reached a tentative agreement with the City of Milwaukee to expand by building a new, $1.5 million facility in the city’s Menomonee Valley Industrial Center.
The new 20,000-square-foot bakery will allow The Sprouted Bakehouse to create new jobs and expand its production space by over 400% and its overall capacity by 800% to accommodate expanding business and channel opportunities. The company plans to break ground later this fall and be operational in the new facility by late spring.
“Milwaukee is our home, and with its long history of quality, artisan products, this location is the perfect fit for our growing company,” said Jenny Marino, president and chief executive officer of The Sprouted Bakehouse. “Americans have significantly increased their consumption of whole grains, and our unique, premium, whole grain product plays an important role in the diets and food lifestyles of many people.”
James Marino, chief operating officer of The Sprouted Bakehouse, added, “As our business grows, I’m more certain than ever about our plans for growth. Our customers continue to tell us how elated they are to find great tasting, healthy breads and we are convinced that our sprouted breads have a place with mainstream consumers as the general population looks for healthier food alternatives.”
