WAYNE, N.J. – A June 12 deadline has been set for offers to purchase the Wayne 19.5-acre land parcel, and warehouse and distribution center that until November was where Drake snack cakes were baked, according to a story published on newjersey.com. The story quotes Joel Schneider, senior vice-president of the Hilco Trading L.L.C., as saying the property likely will no longer be used as a baking plant. Instead it probably will be used for other industrial purposes. Hilco has been engaged to sell remaining Hostess assets that did not attract bids in recent liquidation auctions.
