CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Snyder’s-Lance Inc. will expand its direct-store-delivery (D.S.D.) network in the southwestern United States and increase route volumes with new partner brands through a distribution agreement with Inventure Foods, Inc.
The two companies announced the completed agreement Oct. 3. It will expand the Snyder’s-Lance route distribution system in Arizona while Inventure’s specialty food brands will benefit from wider distribution of a national D.S.D. network of more than 3,000 routes. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Inventure Foods, Inc., which has manufacturing facilities in Arizona, Indiana and Washington, manufactures and markets specialty brands, including Boulder Canyon Natural Foods, Jamba, Rader Farms, T.G.I. Friday’s, Nathan’s Famous, Poore Brothers, Tato Skins and Bob’s Texas Style.
Snyder’s-Lance will assume a number of independent business owner routes from Inventure in the Arizona area. Inventure will receive access to the Snyder’s-Lance distribution network with expanded opportunity as a key partner brand.
“We’re excited to continue the development of our D.S.D. network through this distribution agreement with Inventure,” said Carl E. Lee, president and chief operating officer of Charlotte-based Snyder’s-Lance, Inc. “These routes are in a strategically important location for our company and will help us to provide excellent service for key customers. Moreover, Inventure product lines such as Boulder Canyon and Poore Brothers provide an opportunity for Snyder’s-Lance to increase the scale and reach of our network, helping to grow route volumes across all brands while bringing the benefits of our D.S.D. distribution system to both Inventure and our retail partners.”
