OMAHA — The Scoular Co. has constructed a 2-million-bu storage building in Perkins County, Neb. It is located in Scoular’s existing North Grant site, which is between the cities of Grant and Ogallala. The new building doubles both the North Grant site’s storage capacity, to 4 million bus, and its unloading capacity, to 50,000 bus per hour.
“We’re pleased to further invest in our Nebraska operations to better serve the needs of area corn and wheat farmers and to meet the growing needs of our procurement program for area corn users and for our substantial shuttle train program in Venango,” said Rick Matousek, general manager of a group of Scoular’s western Nebraska facilities.
Based in Omaha, Scoular operates 17 grain-handling facilities throughout Nebraska. The company has more than 70 offices and facilities across the United States.
