LINCOLN, NEB. – Cargill has sold a grain elevator in Lincoln to Interstate Commodities, Inc., an agribusiness company based in Troy, N.Y., that has an office in Omaha. The elevator has a capacity of 13,110,000 bus, according to the Grain & Milling Annual 2013, a publication of Sosland Publishing.  Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Employees at the elevator transferred to Interstate Commodities.

“ICI was founded in 1947, purchasing distillery grains and selling to the feed industry throughout the eastern United States,” said Greg Oberting, chief executive officer of Interstate Commodities. “In recent years we have been focused on expanding through value-added service in agricultural commodity transportation and logistics. Adding the Lincoln facility is part of that strategy.”
