“We just got word that Apple has approved the Baking & Snack iOS app into the iTunes App Store,” said Jon Hall, Sosland’s director of e-business. “This app will go alongside our other two magazine apps for Food Business News and Meat & Poultry.”
Once downloaded, users will find this app via the Newstand icon on their Apple devices.
Currently the app works only with iOS devices. Users of other platforms such as Android, Windows, etc., can access the magazine through the mobile browser on the same URL link as the desktop digital editions.
Mr. Hall noted that the company plans to add a push notification system to alert readers via email when new issues are published.
