LOUISVILLE, KY. — Yum! Brands, Inc. will reorganize its corporate structure on Jan. 1, 2014. The new organization will create five business units, including KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Yum! Restaurants China and Yum! Restaurants India.
“We believe that having 100% focused brand teams will enable us to more aggressively accelerate growth,” said David C. Novak, chairman and chief executive officer. “We also believe know-how sharing will be more powerful by bringing the U.S. and international businesses together.
“This is a natural evolution from where we are today. Over the last few years, we have been separating our Y.R.I. (Yum! Restaurants International) field business units by brand. The next logical step was to organize our division leadership and resources by brand, as we are now doing,”
With the changes will come a new leadership structure that will report to Mr. Novak. Micky Pant will be chief executive officer of KFC; Scott Bergren, c.e.o. of Pizza Hut; Greg Creed, c.e.o. of Taco Bell; Sam Su, c.e.o. of Yum! Restaurants China; and Niren Chaudhary, president of Yum! Restaurants India.
