To reduce travel expenses and time, companies are being encouraged to take part in the International Baking Industry Exposition’s (IBIE) corporate meeting program this fall. IBIE organizers can assist bakeries with arrangements, helping to set up free or discounted meeting spaces at the Las Vegas Convention Center or official IBIE hotels around the triennial baking show, which will take place Oct. 6-9.
Organizers can also extend room block rates in the dates immediately preceding or following the show.
By holding an annual meeting before or after IBIE, companies can save travel-associated costs and minimize time away from the office for those professionals who generally would attend both.
Also, holding a corporate meeting around this event may expand the delegation a bakery sends to IBIE, which is jointly sponsored by the American Bakers Association (ABA), BEMA and the Retail Bakers of America. “Allowing representatives from all levels of your organization to attend will result in better buying decisions and a more educated, motivated and connected team,” stated IBIE organizers.
