PHILADELPHIA — Russell Baker has joined Ottens Flavors, an international supplier to the food and beverage industries, as senior Midwest account manager. 

Mr. Baker has more than 20 years of experience in the flavor industry, specifically in beverages, savory and confections. Most recently he was senior account manager for Silesia, a German-based flavor company, where he was responsible for the company’s sales in the Midwest United States. Earlier, he was a senior account executive for Fona International and also was an account manager for the Flavor Division of J. Manheimer, Inc.

“We are excited to have a veteran like Russ join our sales team,” said Jeff Gerdes, vice-president of business development and marketing for Ottens Flavors. “His addition to our staff will enable Ottens to provide the highest level of commercial support to our clients in the Midwest. Russ will be working closely with our technical and marketing teams as well as our support staff to continuously enhance Ottens’ industry-leading service, which helps our identified customers get to market quicker with new products.”
