WASHINGTON — The total amount of edible liquid product from shell eggs broken during March was 226,140,000 lbs, up 8% from February and up 1% from March 2012, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said in its latest Egg Products report.
March production of edible liquid whole eggs was 140,935,000 lbs, up 10% from February and up 2% from March 2012; liquid whites were 56,287,000 lbs, up 5% from February but down 1% from March 2012; liquid yolks were 28,918,000 lbs, up 7% from February but down 1% from March 2012.
Shell eggs broken in March were 174,941,000 dozen, up 9% from February and up 2% from March 2012.
