NORTHFIELD, ILL. — The Kraft Foods Group is reorganizing its business structure with the creation of two new business units to be called Meals and Desserts, and Enhancers and Snack Nuts. The change will be effective July 1.
“Since we launched the new Kraft, we’ve focused heavily on turbocharging our iconic brands,” said Tony Vernon, chief executive officer of Kraft. “And we’ve made a lot of progress thanks to great marketing and innovation. With the creation of our two newest business units and great leaders in place, we’re taking an important step to strengthen our focus on some of the most beloved brands in North America.”
The Meals and Desserts business unit will include the Cool Whip, Jet-Puffed, Jell-O, Kraft Macaroni & Cheese, Shake ‘N Bake, Stove Top and Velveeta brands. Michael Osanloo has been named president of Meals and Desserts. He is president of Kraft’s Grocery business unit and is credited for leading the reinvigoration of Kraft’s Macaroni & Cheese and Velveeta dinner brands. His team also launched one of Kraft’s most recent new product successes: Velveeta Cheesy Skillets, according to the company.
Jane Hilk has been named president of the Enhancers and Snack Nuts business. Ms. Hilk is a 22-year veteran at Kraft who currently is senior vice-president of marketing for Oscar Mayer. The new business unit will include Kraft’s A.1. Steak Sauce, Grey Poupon, Kraft and Bulls-Eye barbecue sauces, Kraft and Good Seasons dressings, Miracle Whip, and Planters brands.
