WILMINGTON, DEL. — Matthias Heinzel has been named president of DuPont Nutrition & Health, effective Jan. 1, 2015. He will succeed Craig F. Binetti, who is retiring following 38 years of service to the company.
“Matthias brings global business experience with a proven success record in building competitive advantage, setting strategy and direction and creating profitable growth,” said James C. Borel, executive vice-president. “He will help drive the Nutrition & Health business as a leading food ingredients and food safety solutions provider to the food and beverages industries worldwide.”
Mr. Heinzel joined DuPont in 2003 following prior leadership roles in the telecommunications industry and at McKinsey & Company. He has held several business leadership roles in DuPont imaging technologies, authentication and packaging graphics. In 2013 he was appointed global business director, enablers, DuPont Nutrition & Health, where he has led business improvement.
