EMERYVILLE, CALIF. — Clif Bar & Co. is rolling out a new line of snack bars comprised of roasted nuts, chunks of organic chocolate, and a variety of fruit such as blueberries. The line features flavors such as cranberry almond, wild blueberry almond, coconut almond peanut, dark chocolate almond sea salt, and dark chocolate cherry almond. All gluten-free bars are 200 calories or less and produced with 70% organic ingredients. Starbucks introduces vanilla macchiato and expands breakfast sandwich offerings
SEATTLE — Starbucks Coffee Co. is adding a vanilla macchiato to the espresso offerings as well as expanding hot breakfast menu options. The vanilla macchiato offers a mixture of steamed milk and espresso drizzled with brown sugar and Madagascar Bourbon vanilla. With the expansion of the hot food offerings, Starbucks introduced four new sandwiches, including slow-roasted ham and Swiss, vegetable and fontiago, egg and cheddar, and reduced-fat turkey bacon. The hot sandwiches feature ingredients such as buttery croissant buns, melted cheddar, and cage-free egg whites. The new vanilla macchiato and sandwiches will be available at Starbucks stores nationwide.
Mrs. Freshley’s and Hershey team up to deliver sweet treats
THOMASVILLE, GA. — The Hershey Co. and Mrs. Freshley’s, a business unit of Flowers Foods, partnered to create two new sweet snacks: peanut butter flavored Swiss rolls and double chocolate mini donuts. The peanut butter Swiss rolls are made with Reese’s brand peanut butter, while the chocolate mini donuts feature Hershey’s cocoa. Mrs. Freshley’s Reese’s peanut butter Swiss rolls are chocolate cakes infused with a peanut butter filling and topped with a chocolate coating striped with more peanut butter. They are available in 12-oz 12-count bags and 2.8-oz two-count, single-serve packs. The double chocolate mini donuts feature a soft cake donut consistency with Hershey’s cocoa topped with a chocolate coating. They are available in 12-oz 12-count bags and 3.3-oz two-count, single-serve packs. Both the Swiss rolls and donuts are available in supermarkets, convenience stores, and vending machines nationwide.
Udi’s introduces new frozen food entrees
BOUDLER, COLO. — Udi’s Gluten Free is staying on top of trend in the gluten-free category with four new frozen food entrees. Clif Kid announces Zbar Protein
EMERYVILLE, CALIF. — Clif Kid is rolling out another healthy snack for active children called Zbar Protein. The bars are produced with pea and whey protein along with a blend of rice crisps and oats, all atop a layer of chocolate. The child-friendly flavors include chocolate chip, chocolate mint, and peanut butter chocolate.
