BERKELEY, CALIF. — Cinnaholic, an all-vegan bakery franchise, will appear on “Shark Tank” on Friday, May 9, at 9:00 – 10:01 p.m. E.T. on ABC Television. “Shark Tank” is an American reality competition series that features a panel of potential investors, called “sharks,” that consider offers from aspiring entrepreneurs seeking investments for their business or product. The entrepreneur can make a deal on the show if a panel member is interested. But, if all of the panel members decline, the entrepreneur leaves empty-handed.
During the May 9 episode, entrepreneurs Florian and Shannon Radke will share the success of their gourmet cinnamon roll bakery, with the goal of obtaining a deal that allows Cinnaholic to expand across the United States.
“When we first began to conceptualize Cinnaholic in 2010, never in our wildest dreams did we imagine our vegan cinnamon rolls receiving such national exposure and adoration,” said Mr. Radke, a vegan and co-owner of Cinnaholic, along with his wife, Shannon. “From the first day I tried Shannon’s vegan cinnamon rolls, I knew we had something special. Our fantasy of opening a successful bakery became a reality after the instantaneous support we received when our doors opened in our home city of Berkeley. By going on ‘Shark Tank,’ we are hoping to expand our business and bring our delicious vegan offerings to consumers nationwide.”
Mr. Radke said Cinnaholic has both vegan and non-vegan customers from across the United States that order its gourmet cinnamon rolls through a mail order program. The company also operates a retail bakery in Berkeley.
“The opportunity to appear on ‘Shark Tank’ will allow us to increase the visibility of our business and help us achieve our dream of expanding Cinnaholic nationwide,” he said.
