CHELSEA, MASS. — Phillip Del Monti has joined Muffin Town, a division of J.S.B. Industries, as plant manager for the company’s baking facility in Lawrence, Mass. Mr. Del Monti will oversee all of Muffin Town’s baking, sanitation and production operations at the Lawrence facility.
Mr. Del Monti has a degree in nutrition and dietetics from Kent State University, and he has gained plant management skills throughout his career, including sanitation and production supervision, continuous improvement manager, and operations manager.
J.S.B. produces frozen bakery products under the Muffin Town, Smart Choice, Aesop’s Bagels, Madeline’s Gourmet Cookie Dough and SunWise brands. Additionally, J.S.B. is a private label manufacturer for food service and retail customers. Its two Massachusetts plants, located in Chelsea and Lawrence, are kosher and peanut free. Jack Anderson, president and chief executive officer, established the company in 1978.
