HORSHAM, PA. — Bimbo Bakeries USA said it will halt production at its Fresno, Calif., baking facility on or about March 27 and will shift production to other bakeries in the company’s manufacturing network, mainly to its more efficient facility in Sacramento, Calif. The company previously closed its bun production at the Fresno plant in August 2014.
“Our goal of producing the highest quality, freshest bakery products includes utilizing our newest and most efficient plants and equipment in our California manufacturing network,” said Joe Dangelmaier, vice-president of operations for B.B.U.’s Pacific Business Unit. “All of our products will still be available to our valued customers during the transition.”
