ST. LOUIS — Bunge North America has acquired Whole Harvest Foods, Warsaw, N.C., a refiner and packager of cooking oils. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Products manufactured by Whole Harvest include frying oils, pan sprays and liquid butter alternatives. Assets included in the transaction are an oil refinery and packaging plant in Warsaw and another packaging plant in Las Vegas.

“Whole Harvest Foods’ patented refining process creates a host of minimally processed products that have excellent taste and texture, a long fry life and require no artificial preservatives,” said Tim Gallagher, executive vice-president of the oilseed value chain for Bunge North America. “As ‘The Oil Experts,’ the Whole Harvest Foods products are a great addition to our product portfolio delivering the simple label features that our customers want.”
Raw materials used to manufacture Whole Harvest products include expeller pressed canola, cottonseed and soy oils. The acquired company has approximately 35 employees between its two locations.
