WASHINGTON — Former mayor of New York City Rudy Giuliani will keynote the American Bakers PAC Dinner during the 2015 American Bakers Association convention set for March 29-April 1 in Orlando, Fla.
“Mr. Giuliani is a dynamic speaker who will share his insider’s perspective on the current political environment, including an analysis of the potential for bipartisan governing in the 114th Congress, the 2016 presidential election and more,” said Steve Avera, chairman of the American Bakers PAC and executive vice-president and secretary and general counsel of Flowers Foods, Inc.
Mr. Giuliani was named TIME magazine’s 2001 Person of the Year for his leadership during 9-11, and he was given an honorary knighthood by the Queen of England and was awarded the Ronald Reagan Presidential Freedom Award. In 2008, Mr. Giuliani ran for the Republican nomination for president of the United States.
“We are very excited to bring such a well-respected and influential leader to Florida for this year’s American Bakers PAC Dinner,” said Kelly Knowles, director of A.B.A. PAC and senior director of political affairs for the A.B.A. “A limited number of high-dollar donors will also be able to meet personally with Mr. Giuliani during a roundtable discussion prior to the dinner. Funds raised will allow American Bakers PAC to support candidates who support bakers in the 2016 election.”
The American Bakers PAC Dinner is a ticketed event on Monday evening, March 30, during the A.B.A. Convention. To learn more about the PAC Dinner contact Kelly Knowles at (202) 789-0300 or via e-mail at kknowles@americanbakers.org.
