KANSAS CITY — With schedules getting busier and mornings growing more hectic, consumers are craving convenient breakfast options. Top brands are delivering on this trend by providing products that are not only convenient but also nutritious.
For example, the Kellogg Co. is launching a new line of breakfast sandwiches that customers can eat on-the-go. They feature real eggs, melted cheese and protein-rich sausage or bacon between waffle-style bread slices baked with a hint of maple. The sandwiches come in three varieties: Bacon, Egg & Cheese; Sausage, Egg & Cheese; and Egg & Cheese.
“Moms are always on the hunt for delicious, warm breakfast options that everyone in the family will love,” said AnneMarie Suarez-Davis, vice-president of marketing and innovation for Kellogg’s Frozen Foods. “New Eggo Breakfast Sandwiches give parents a tasty choice to help start their family’s mornings.”
To add to the handy breakfast choices, Post is launching Honey Bunches of Oats Breakfast Biscuits. Available in honey roasted, strawberry, and chocolate chip, the biscuits come in packages of four and provide more than 55% of the day’s whole grain intake, 4 grams of fiber and 5 grams of protein.
They can be used to dunk in coffee or spread with peanut butter and fruit for a go-to breakfast option, according to the company.
The trend continues into the pancake aisle as Krusteaz is introducing a limited-time offering of its Belgian Waffle and Buttermilk Pancake mixes packaged with a 15g packet of Ferrero’s Nutella.
“We know that many of our customers enjoy Nutella on their pancakes and waffles, so we’re thrilled to collaborate with Ferrero on a product that brings the two favorites together,” said Andy Heily, Kursteaz senior vice-president of sales and marketing at Krusteaz.
