LEAVENWORTH, KAS. — Jim Schroeder of Great Western Manufacturing Company, Inc. has been inducted into the Kansas State University College of Engineering Hall of Fame.
Mr. Schroeder graduated from K.S.U. in 1963 with a degree in electrical engineering. He later co-founded Great Western Manufacturing, the oldest continuous manufacturing company in Kansas, growing the company from a supplier of sifting equipment for the flour milling and cereal grain industry into one of the leading manufacturers of quality control sifting equipment for the food processing industry. Although he retired from the company in 2012, Mr. Schroeder remains actively involved in an advisory capacity.
