BERKELEY, CALIF. — Annie's, Inc., a General Mills’ brand, is expanding in the cookie aisle with the launch of three cookie varieties — chocolate chip, double chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin — and three cookie bites varieties — chocolate chip, oatmeal and lemon drop. The new cookies contain no high-fructose corn syrup, hydrogenated oils, artificial flavors, synthetic colors or preservatives.
“Consumers should never have to make a tradeoff between great taste and quality ingredients, even when it comes to their favorite indulgent treats,” said Robyn DeFina, marketing director at Annie’s. “Our new cookies fill a void in the cookie aisle for health-conscious consumers who want the best of both worlds: delicious flavor, minus the bad stuff. We’re excited to introduce six new varieties the whole family will love.”
All varieties will be available in pantry-ready 8.4-oz trays in August at grocery and natural retailers nationwide with a suggested retail price of $2.99 to $3.99 per tray.
Annie’s other products in its cookie portfolio include gluten-free Bunny cookies, Bunny Grahams, graham crackers and animal crackers.
