LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. — A strategic partnership has created Frutalose PRO, a liquid prebiotic, chicory root fiber syrup blended with the probiotic Ganeden BC30 (Bacillus coagulans GBI-30, 686). The partnership involves Sensus America, which is part of The Netherlands-based inulin manufacturer Sensus, and Ganeden, a Cleveland-based manufacturer of patented probiotic strains.
Frutalose PRO is a low-calorie, low-sugar ingredient designed to maximize health benefits, particularly in the areas of protein utilization and digestive health.
“Partnering with an industry leader such as Sensus will enable us to broaden the applications of GanedenBC30 into more functional food and beverage applications,” said Andrew Lefkowitz, president of Ganeden. “The experience, knowledge and high standard of quality that Sensus brings to the chicory root fiber inulin market further support our commitment to provide superior formulations to the food and beverage industry.”
Carl Volz, president of Lawrenceville-based Sensus America, said, “We are excited to partner with an innovative probiotic company that shares our vision of improving quality of life through healthy ingredient fortification. By integrating our unique strengths, we will accelerate our business and growth opportunities by capitalizing on the unique opportunities and synergies that these innovative ingredients provide.”
Both Sensus America and Ganeden will have booths at the Institute of Food Technologists’ annual meeting and food exposition July 12-14 in Chicago.
