CHICAGO — Risk management training and commodity outlook will be featured as part of the Food Industry Forum set for July 19-21 in the Executive Conference Center at DePaul University in Chicago. The event, which is being hosted by INTL FCStone Inc. and sponsored by CME Group, will provide food industry professionals with the knowledge they need to identify and manage their price risk in ways that help them protect their margins, outperform their competitors and improve their bottom lines.
Programming for the event consists of two tracks:
•Level One provides the basics of price risk management, exchange-traded products and market fundamentals.
•Level Two features additional price risk management concepts, products and strategies, as well as market outlooks for key food and beverage industry ingredients and inputs.
The forum will feature a number of presentations from Richard Jelinek, vice-president of global education at INTL FCStone Financial Inc. Mr. Jelinek will speak on such topics as the cash market and basis, hedging with futures and price risk management strategies comparison. Other representatives with INTL FCStone also will participate in the forum, as will William Lapp, owner of Advanced Economic Solutions; David Hightower, owner of The Hightower Report; and Dan Gramza, president of Gramza Capital Management.
