Kellogg plans to close less efficient production lines at its Eggo frozen waffle plant in Rossville, Tenn.
BATTLE CREEK, MICH. — The Kellogg Co. plans to close less efficient production lines at its Eggo frozen waffle plant in Rossville, Tenn., a move that would eliminate about 155 positions at the facility. Following the job cuts, the plant still would employ about 250.
The job cuts are expected to take place between this fall and the end of 2017.
Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development spokesman Chris Cannon said Kellogg hasn’t filed an official notice of job reductions, known as a WARN letter, but has informed the state of plans to close some production lines.
