CHILTON, WIS. – Gordon Lane, president and chief operations officer for Briess Malt & Ingredients Co., will retire effective July 29. Ryan O’Toole, currently vice-president of operations, will become c.o.o.

Mr. Lane, who joined the company in 2002, will continue to handle special projects before joining the board of directors for Chilton-based Briess, a supplier of specialty grain-based and starch-based ingredients to the U.S. craft beer, craft distilling, food, beverage and pet food industries.

“I want to thank Gordon on behalf of the entire Briess family,” said Craig Briess, a member of the board of directors. “With integrity, commitment, conviction and faith by your side, you’ve led Briess to where it is today.”

Mr. O’Toole received a bachelor’s of science degree in biology from the University of North Florida. He has more than 19 years of experience in the food and ingredients business.
