DUBLIN, OHIO — Nestle USA has invested $31 million in its Nestle Quality Assurance Center in Dublin, Ohio, which was designed to support the implementation and maintenance of food safety programs. The newly expanded center is now Nestle’s largest and most sophisticated testing facility and the lead quality assurance center for all Nestle businesses in the Americas region. Enhancements include advanced food safety systems and the development of a network of quality and safety experts and laboratories.
The center has doubled in size to 82,000 square feet, which includes an expanded 32,000 square foot microbiology lab and renovated chemistry lab and associated facilities to increase capacity and efficiency and improve safety of products tested.
The Nestle Quality Assurance Center in Dublin has the ability and capacity to test every Nestle product, ingredient and manufacturing environment to verify they meet all applicable regulatory requirements as well as the company’s quality and safety standards.
“As we celebrate our 150th anniversary, the Nestle Quality Assurance Center exemplifies what we mean when we say ‘at Nestle, quality means more,’” said Edgar Vanegas, NQAC regional manager, Americas. “We recognize that we have a responsibility to the public and hold all of our foods and beverages to the highest safety and quality standards. This is a responsibility we never take lightly.”
Furthering its commitment to food safety, Nestle also is joining the Partnership for Food Safety Education this year by supporting “The Story of Your Dinner” communication program, inviting consumers to prevent foodborne illness.
