CLEVELAND — Florida Bread, a 67-year-old bakery in Taipei, Taiwan, has engaged The Austin Co. to plan the design and process equipment layout for a new baking plant in Taiwan. The new production facility will total approximately 54,000 square feet when complete, the company said.
Florida Bread produces specialty-baked goods, including bread, flatbreads, tortillas, cookies and cake. The company’s products are sold in several company owned bakery-cafes in Taipei. In addition, Florida Bread sells products to restaurants and supermarkets, including Costco.
The Austin Co. has more than 80 years of experience serving the baking and snack industry. The company’s in-house, integrated services include site location, planning, equipment layout, process integration, architectural design, engineering, construction, equipment installation and project management for projects throughout North America, Europe and Asia.
