NORDERSTEDT, GERMANY — SternLife GmbH & Co. KG has introduced high-protein breakfast products that allow sellers of sports nutrition and health foods, as well as drug stores or supermarkets, to set up their own private brands. The range includes powder mixes for pancakes, porridge and rice pudding. Also, a baking mix allows consumers to make high-protein bread at home.
The pancake mix, a blend of whey protein, lactoprotein and oatmeal, is 60% protein. It is slightly sweetened. The porridge is 30% protein and is made of gluten-free oat flakes, lactoprotein and apple powder seasoned with cinnamon. The rice pudding is as fast and easy to prepare as the pancakes and porridge, according to Norderstedt-based SternLife.
“These new breakfast products serve a sector for which demand is steadily growing,” said Marc van Essen, sales director for SternLife. “This is a great addition to the range and will allow our clients to place their brand on the breakfast table.”
The protein bread baking mix caters to consumers who prefer a traditional continental breakfast range. The mix consists of linseed flour, rice protein, pea protein, sunflower seeds and psyllium (plantago).
