CHELSEA, MASS. — The Chelsea baking facility of J.S.B. Industries (Muffin Town) now is free of nuts, joining the company’s Lawrence, Mass., facility. J.S.B. Industries said it removed nuts from both bakeries because of consumer concern over nut allergies.
Based in Chelsea, J.S.B. Industries manufactures nut-free bakery products under the Muffin Town, Smart Choice Whole Grain, Aesops Bagels, SunWise Peanut Free and Madeline’s Gourmet Cookie brands. The products are sold nationally to retail and food service outlets.
