MILFORD, CONN. — Karlin Linhardt has been named Subway’s new senior vice-president of marketing for North America.

In his new role, Mr. Linhardt will be responsible for brand management and the guest experience at more than 30,000 Subway restaurants in the United States and Canada. He will oversee North America marketing teams and core disciplines, Subway said, including advertising, media planning and execution, menu innovation and development, research and analytics, corporate social responsibility and tactical events and sponsorships.
Prior to joining Subway, Mr. Linhardt was a senior consultant for Accenture Interactive marketing firm, where he worked on Subway’s brand evolution in conjunction with Accenture’s design and contribution of Subway’s digital platform. Before that, he spent 10 years at McDonald’s Corp. as the senior director of marketing and 10 years in marketing at Anheuser-Busch. Additionally, Mr. Linhardt has served on the board of directors for Perkins & Marie Callender’s Restaurants since 2011.
