KANSAS CITY — Easy meal prep offerings are trending in new product launches.
Nestle S.A. is introducing six new Lean Cuisine Marketplace frozen entrees for those seeking the ease of microwave meals. The new varieties include Garlic Sesame Noodles with Beef, Mango Chicken with Coconut Rice, Sesame Chicken, Chicken Fried Rice, Roasted Garlic White Bean Alfredo and Spicy Penne Arrabbiata.
For consumers who crave a quick side dish, Unilever is launching Knorr Selects, a new line of gluten-free rice dishes. Containing no artificial flavors or artificial preservatives, Knorr Selects are available in six varieties: Four cheese risotto; white cheddar broccoli; roasted garlic Alfredo; Rustic Mexican rice and beans; spinach and artichoke; and Asiago cheese and cracked black pepper.
Riviana Foods is also speeding up the side dish preparation process with its new Minute Ready to Serve products. The company is introducing Minute Ready to Serve White & Red Quinoa, Minute Ready to Serve Multi-Grain Medley and a new Minute Ready to Serve Organics line, including three varieties: Organic Whole Grain Brown Rice, Organic White Rice and Organic Red Quinoa and Brown Rice with Garlic.
