SNAXPO 2014 will be the Big Show in “Big D,” Dallas, where snack food executives will gather for the only international exposition devoted exclusively to their industry.

From March 1-4 at the new Omni Dallas, SNAXPO attendees will meet with the world’s top suppliers, network with their peers and learn about the latest developments important to their companies from nationally known keynote speakers and in workshops led by top experts.

SNAXPO 2014 will be a full equipment show showcasing the latest flavors and ingredients, packaging equipment, processing equipment, software and mobile solutions, seasoning, transportation services and more.

The 2014 show also will feature some exciting format changes designed to make the experience even better. For example, first-time SNAXPO attendees will be paired with industry veterans who will help them get the most out of their time at the show. In addition, the traditional educational program for Hispanic snack food executives will be integrated into the overall educational program, rather than being held separately before the show opens. Also new in 2014 is a mobile app to help attendees plan their show experience as well as provide visibility for sponsors, speakers and exhibitors. The free app will be available at the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.

The conference will feature the annual State of the Snack Food Industry report by Sally Lyons Wyatt, senior vice-president, client solutions, SymphonyIRI Group, Inc. Ms. Wyatt will discuss the results of major research revealing category and product area results over the past year and their implications for the future.

SNAXPO presents the ultimate opportunity to take advantage of the Snack Food Associaiton (SFA)’s three pillars of membership. A panel of consultants will offer in-depth updates on initiatives at legislative and regulatory levels, followed by a Q&A to specifically address member’s needs. Human resources educational seminars will provide tips for identifying high-potential internal and external candidates, as well as “do’s and don’ts” that every HR director should know. Other sessions will offer insight into the highly volatile commodity world, providing processors with short- and long-term commodity strategies and manufacturing best practices.  Attendees will also have an opportunity to network during the opening party March 1 at the Dallas Museum of Art.

“SNAXPO is the only event that places snack manufacturers and processors together with the industry’s suppliers and vendors,” said Tom Dempsey, SFA’s CEO. “A mix of seminars, trade-show floor exhibits and social events makes this the great time-saver to accomplish education, governmental insight and networking, all in one event. Once again, SNAXPO will be the must-attend show of the year for snack food executives from around the globe.” SNAXPO begins with a member meeting, installation of officers and a general session speaker, followed by the exhibit hall opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony.
