Keeping production lines clean is always a challenge and concern for bakers, so equipment manufacturers have been doing what they can to improve cleanability of waffle lines.
With its waffle moulds free of non-stick coating, TSA Griddles is able to scrub the moulds clean after every production cycle with stainless steel brushes.
Franz Haas Machinery of America adapted its batter depositing system with a wash-down design. “At the end of production, the batter cart can be rolled out and sanitized,” explained Rick Parrish, director of sales and marketing, Franz Haas. The company also made sure all areas where batter is deposited are stainless steel and designed with sanitation in mind. This minimizes the chances of residual batter getting on finished products.
