WASHINGTON — Senator Johnny Isakson of Georgia and Representative John Kline of Minnesota will be featured speakers at the upcoming meeting of the American Bakers Association Human Resources Committee. The group will gather Jan. 24-26 in Washington.
Mr. Kline is ranking member of the House Committee on Education and Labor.
"Both Senator Isakson and Representative Kline play important roles in creating policy that directly impacts the baking industry," said Robb MacKie, A.B.A. president and chief executive officer.
Also on the program will be a lunch with Helen Darling, president of the National Business Group on Health. A discussion on pension plans will be conducted with Kevin Wright, general counsel for a national jointly trusted multi-employer pension and health benefits plan with more than $6 billion in assets. Offering an in-depth analysis of labor union politics will be Hal Coxson of the law firm Ogletree Deacon. Peter Susser of Littler Mendelson, A.B.A. labor advisor, will provide a legislative and regulatory update.
