NORWALK, CONN. — Pepperidge Farm, Inc., which has offered Tim Tam cookies at Target stores in the United States for a limited time, will hold an eBay auction for the last case of the Chocolate Crème variety. The 24-package case has been autographed by Hugh Jackman, a native Australian actor and star of the new "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" movie, and proceeds from the auction will benefit Feeding America, the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief charity.
Bidding on the case of cookies, which are the No. 1 selling chocolate biscuit in Australia, is open May 4-13 at www.ebay.com/timtam.
"We are thrilled that Pepperidge Farm has made Feeding America the recipient of proceeds from this auction," said Vicki Escarra, president and chief executive officer of Feeding America. "Pepperidge Farm has been a good friend of Feeding America over the years and we are extremely grateful for their support, especially now, when food banks across America are experiencing such a tremendous surge in demand."
