THOMASVILLE, GA. — Flowers Foods, Inc. has expanded its Nature’s Own specialty premium bread line with the launch of two varieties: Healthy Multi-Grain and Grains and Granola.
The Nature’s Own specialty premium breads debuted in October 2006. The latest varieties are ideal for sandwiches and contain easy-to-read packaging highlighting the amount of fiber and whole grains per slice, according to Flowers Foods.
Healthy Multi-Grain contains 16 grams of whole grains and 3 grams of fiber per slice, while Grains and Granola has 17 grams of whole grains and 2 grams of fiber per slice. Both bread varieties are 100% natural and contain no high-fructose corn syrup or artificial preservatives, colors or flavors.
"Brown-bagging doesn’t have to mean boring," said Brent Bradshaw, brand manager. "These new specialty premium breads add a gourmet touch to any sandwich and are packed with the nutrition families demand."
The new bread has a suggested retail price of $3.49 to $3.89.
