MIAMI — Burger King Corp. has expanded its breakfast menu with the introduction of the BK Breakfast Muffin and the BK Breakfast Bowl. Priced at $1, the breakfast muffin features sausage, egg and cheese between two English muffins and is the latest addition to the company’s breakfast value menu.
“The BK Breakfast Muffin sandwich provides more value for the money to our guests,” said John Schaufelberger, senior vice-president of global product marketing and innovation for Burger King. “We took a breakfast sandwich that has proven likeability among consumers and are delivering it at a great price.”
Other products included in the company’s Breakfast Value Menu for $1 include French Toast Sticks, Cini-minis, hash browns, sausage biscuit and a ham omelet sandwich.
The fast-food company is marketing the breakfast bowl as a “premium” item that includes all of the ingredients traditionally included in a breakfast platter, such as potatoes, onions, peppers, scrambled eggs, sausage, cheese and a cheese sauce. The new bowl has a suggested retail price of $2.79.
