WASHINGTON — Newt Gingrich, former Speaker of the House and currently a commentator on Fox News, will address the American Bakers PAC members during the 2011 convention of the American Bakers Association.
The dinner, a ticketed event, will be held March 28 during the A.B.A. convention March 26-30 at the J.W. Marriott San Antonio Hill Country San Antonio.
Mr. Gingrich, whose name is often mentioned as a possible Republican candidate for president in the 2012 election, is chairman of the Gingrich Group, a communications and consulting firm, with offices in Atlanta and Washington. He is general chairman of American Solutions for Winning the Future, a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, and is a distinguished visiting fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University.
He has published 21 books, 12 of which were New York Times best sellers.
“American Bakers PAC is honored to have Newt Gingrich address American Bakers PAC Members during the 2011 A.B.A. Convention,” said American Bakers PAC chairman Steve Avera, Flowers Foods. “Speaker Gingrich is an intellectually powerful and dynamic speaker who will share his outlook and vision for America with dinner attendees.”
Mr. Gingrich is well known as the architect of the “Contract with America” that propelled the Republicans to victory in 1994, capturing the majority in the U.S. House for the first time in 40 years.
“We are very excited to bring such a prominent and well-respected American to San Antonio for this year’s American Bakers PAC Dinner,” said A.B.A. PAC director Kelly Knowles. “A limited number of high-dollar donors will also be able to meet personally with Mr. Gingrich during a roundtable discussion prior to the dinner. Funds raised will allow American Bakers PAC to support candidates who support bakers in the 2012 election.”
