WASHINGTON — The American Bakers Association and the Allied Trades of the Baking Industry will offer a special joint session, “Solutions to bakers’ most vexing problems,” on Sept. 21 in Washington. The joint meeting will include discussions on identifying and preparing for future food safety risks, reducing duplication of food safety audits, retaining and recruiting skilled talent for new bakery technology, and establishing the next steps in sustainability. “We thank A.T.B.I. for making its board members available for this and know it will be a great exchange for all participating,” said Robb MacKie, president and chief executive officer of the A.B.A.
