NEWTON, WIS. — Kevin Blackburn has been promoted to director of operations at Enreco, Inc. while Daniel Otte has been promoted to director of quality assurance and Ada Alcantar has been promoted to director of business administration at the company’s Newton flaxseed flour and supplements manufacturing operation.
Mr. Blackburn will be responsible for plant facilities and all aspects of manufacturing, including ingredient storage, handling, milling, packaging and shipping. He previously was in a leadership position with the company’s Omega Fields retail products operation. Mr. Blackburn received a bachelor’s of arts degree in business administration from Ripon College in Ripon, Wis.
Mr. Otte will focus on safety and quality assurance programs, including SQF Level-3, organic and kosher. He previously was purchasing department and quality manager. Mr. Otte received a bachelor’s degree in industrial management.
Ms. Alcantar will be responsible for all facets of accounting, inventory control, feed license registration and purchasing of manufacturing ingredients, packaging materials, and facility supplies. She most recently was accounting manager. Ms. Alcantar received a bachelor’s degree in business information systems and has additional certifications in ESL, food defense coordination and lab technician studies — Neogen System.
