LONDON — Demand for the high-intensity sweetener sucralose increased, albeit at lower average selling prices, in support of new customer product launches in the fiscal year’s first half ended Sept 30, London-based Tate & Lyle, P.L.C. said in a trading update. The company expects sucralose volume to revert to normal levels in the second half of the fiscal year. Within the company’s Specialty Food Ingredients, corn-based specialty sweetener and starch volumes grew in line with the market. Tate & Lyle will report its half-year results on Nov. 3.
