RIDGWAY, COLO. — The Wheat Foods Council has introduced “Kernels,” a new quarterly e-magazine that will offer stories, articles, recipes and more.
“This is another important vehicle for us as part of our outreach to engage you and others interested in everything wheat foods,” Judi Adams, president of the W.F.C., wrote in the inaugural issue. “Each issue will include articles about things you care about — from hot nutrition topics, to interviews with nutrition policy leaders, food trends, recipes, and more.”
The winter 2012 issue of “Kernels” features an interview with Robert Post, deputy director of the Center for Nutrition Policy and Promotion at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, talking about the agency’s SuperTracker program. Also, the issue focuses on folic acid fortification of enriched grain products and their role in the prevention of birth defects.
