ANGUSVILLE, MAN. — Glanbia Nutritionals has a business continuity plan in place and will use a third party to help meet contractual commitments after a fire damaged a flaxseed processing plant in Angusville on March 13, a company spokesperson said.
The company is assessing the damage, which is “fairly extensive,” the spokesperson said. The company has yet to decide whether to rebuild. Fifty-eight people worked at the plant. No one was injured.
Glanbia has operated the facility since it acquired Pizzey’s Milling in 2007. Glanbia Nutritionals offers a MeadowPure line of flaxseed ingredients for use in foods, beverages and supplements.
