WASHINGTON — Congressman David Schweikert will appear as a special guest at the American Bakers Association’s 2012 All Membership Meeting. The event is set for April 15 at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess in Scottsdale, Ariz.
“We are very pleased to have one of Arizona’s rising stars officially welcome the group back to beautiful Scottsdale, and kick off our tremendous 2012 program,” said Robb MacKie, president and chief executive officer of the A.B.A. “Congressman Schweikert will be sharing his insight on the current political and economic climate, preparing us perfectly for the important issues we’ll discuss at the rest of the meeting.”
Mr. Schweikert previously served in the Arizona House of Representatives and held office in Maricopa county, where he was recognized by The Arizona Republic for his work as a reformer, voice for fiscal responsibility, and advocate for small businesses and taxpayers. He was elected to Congress in 2010 and sits on the Financial Services Committee.
“Representative Schweikert’s background and incredible reputation will make him a perfect fit for our group,” Mr. MacKie said. “I encourage all attendees to represent their companies at the All Membership Meeting.”
