DENVER — Atkins Nutritionals, Inc. has added five products to its Advantage, Day Break and Endulge line of products. On average, the new Atkins bars have 7 grams of protein, 9 grams of fiber and 3.6 grams of net carbohydrates per serving. Atkins Nutritionals defines net carbohydrates as the carbohydrates in a food that impact blood sugar, calculated by subtracting fiber grams in the food from total grams.
“We constantly listen to our customers so we can bring them the best-tasting bars and snacks, without the added sugars and extra carbs,” said Monty Sharma, chief executive officer of Atkins. “The concept of a low-carb cookie tested extremely well with Atkins followers and weight-conscious consumers. Our new products will help people manage their weight without sacrificing great taste, enabling them to enjoy Atkins as a healthy lifestyle.”
