ADM expanded its specialty proteins portfolio with SUPERB protein-fiber blend. Made from soybeans, it helps improve water binding and builds the protein and fiber content of food products.
In a related move, the company announced its intention to offer pea protein isolates and concentrates in the future. This responds to growing demand for functional proteins that can be easily incorporated into a range of products from energy bars to beverages.
“Our customers are seeking innovative ways to add high-quality protein and fiber to their products,” said Bruce Bennett, president, ADM Specialty Ingredients. “SUPERB and pea protein both offer exceptional utility for customers intent on meeting growing demand and gaining a real competitive advantage in the consumer marketplace.”
ADM’s current specialty protein offerings include soy protein isolates, concentrates, textured proteins and crisps, and soy flour and grits. Other products include its line of edible bean powders and Fibersol soluble dietary fibers.
