CHICAGO — Naked, a nearly 35-year-old brand known for its juices and smoothies, is expanding into the food category with the launch of Naked Fruit, Nut & Veggie Bars.
Naked said the new bars are “packed with premium ingredients, including real fruits and vegetables.” The bars are available in three varieties: Blue Machine, Green Machine and Red Machine.
Each 1.41-oz package contains five fruits and vegetables and 160 calories per bar. The bars contain no preservatives, are Non-GMO Project verified and are considered excellent sources of vitamins A, C, E and iron.

“As experts in fruits and vegetables, I’m thrilled we are bringing the convenience, nutrition and taste we are known for at Naked into the chilled bars space,” said Becca Kerr, senior vice-president for the North America Nutrition Fruit and Vegetable portfolio of Naked's parent company PepsiCo, Inc. “Since it’s not always convenient to fit fruits and vegetables into your daily routine, we’re expanding our lineup, continuing to provide consumers with yet another option to make sure they are getting their daily dose of goodness.”
A subsidiary of PepsiCo, the Naked Juice Co. was founded in Santa Monica, Calif., in 1983. PepsiCo acquired the company in 2007.
